This DIY wooden Run Stepped Hoist is a mechanical marvel with an intricate three-stepped alternating lift and has 3 tracks. The first consists of a 2-marble accumulator and serpentine run, the second is a hammer swing inside a C-shaped cradle, and the third has a whirlpool or funnel. Eventually all three get through the collection tray and then into the 3-stepped seesaw lift (by a rocker switch mechanism), or into an attached marble run set! The Marble Run Stepped Hoist is modular, and can be connected to other Marble Runs (2 or 4 models can be connected, in pairs) using special connectors (included).
Everything you need for this fun DIY project comes right in the box, including pre-cut wooden boards, 10 marbles, wax, sandpaper (for optimal gear function), and a set of detailed, illustrated instructions. The Marble Run Stepped Hoist has 355 pieces, is rated Advanced level of difficulty, and has an estimated assembly time of 8 hours. As you build this ingenious wooden marble run, you will learn about the action and interplay of drive gears and driven gears in gear sets, along with function of counterweights. You and your family will have hours of fun constructing this DIY kit together, without need of glue or special tools.
